HIMIG HANDOG – NATIONAL QUARTET COMPETITION 2010
A one musical performance of four (4) different voice ranges in a concert format competed by various singing ambassadors of the country.
OFFICIAL GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS:

Venue of the Competition - Atrium, New City Hall, Ayala Avenue, Tagum City, Philippines. |

Categories - Open competition. |
| 4. |
Requirements for Participation |

| 4.1 |
Only four (4) singers, either male or female or mixed. |
| 4.2 |
16 years old and above. |
| 4.3 |
At least two (2) instrumentalists for accompaniment. |
| 4.4 |
Competing groups shall render two songs of any genre and language. |
| 4.5 |
All groups are required to submit their entry form with the name of the official accompanist. |

Time Limit of Presentation |

| 5.1 |
Maximum performance time is ten (10) minutes including entrance and exit. |
| 5.2 |
A deduction of two (2) points in excess of every minute or fraction of a minute. |

Criteria for Judging |

| Tonal Quality (flexibility of voice, intonation & range) |
40% |
| Harmony (blending & balance, phrasing) |
30% |
| Mastery (dynamics, technique, interpretation) |
20% |
| Deportment (general appearance, discipline & uniform) |

A set of judges shall be assigned by the Execom. These Official Judges are well known for their achievement and stature in the field of music and performing arts preferably coming from outside of Davao Region or have gained a National Stature. Their decision shall base on the results of the competition and shall be final and irrevocable. |

Deadline for the submission of entries shall be announced. Online registration can be made through wwww.musikahansatagum.com. Interested participants may also download application forms from www.musikahansatagum.com and send it to Musikahan sa Tagum secretariat by surface mail or email (tagumcity_tourism@yahoo.com) or hand carry the filled up forms to the City Tourism Office at Beach Volleydrome, Rotary Park, Pioneer Avenue, Tagum City. |
